Im lucky enough to have a family to go on holiday with, which makes me super happy. After 3 years off the family tradition, my dad decided it was time to spend some seaside time together again. That and my mums gentle persuaison. This year was a little different. We had a new little man with us and my sisters boyfriend. After the most chaotic journey to Cornwall in the history of time, or mostly our time, we had finally arrived. I say chaotic, we were just stuck in holiday traffic for 9 hours. We all settled in to Priory Lodge which is our go-to hotel for staying in Newquay. The food is great, the staff are great and it feels like a second home. Rosie and i had ambitions to walk to London Bridge, then Covent Garden to Oxford Street. Unfortunately (or fortunately) for us, the weather had other ideas. Aside from the windy chaos that is outside, we didn't let the intermittent showers dampen our spirits (Get it!?) I scoffed a sandwich down on the way to the lift after my very late wake up of 11.30am. Better than i have been in the past so don't feel too guilty but am in desperate need of a caffeine fix and Rosie knows just the place. Tap is located in Soho and would be relatively difficult to find if I hadn't have had Rosie navigating the way ferociously even with umbrella troubles. Canada water café is a little hidden gem, in the most unlikely place next to the tube station. It’s so easy to miss, yet there are so many reasons why you shouldn't! Me and my friends had walked past it a few times and finally had a peak inside. I knew instantly that i wanted to review this place. From the outside, it just looks like a normal day to day café but on the inside, it goes more than the extra mile. We went to their late night pizzeria. We arrive at 8.30 and to my surprise it was buzzing. All the tables were full, the atmosphere was chilled and candles set the mood. I was really surprised how many people were here. We were seated immediately and then presented with some water and some menus. I picked the “Insalata comprese” which is Basil, Tomato and Mozzarella.
