Dismaland

Outside. I’m drinking wine as we speak. Whether it is the stress that uni is upon me, or the fact I now need glasses for activities such as the cinema, I can’t help but feel like this wonderful trip out contributed to how miserable I feel. Dismaland was everything I wanted to be and more. We arrived to Weston super- mare around 3.30 pm and had a nice walk along the beach with a drink before arriving at the queue. It didn’t look bad and luckily for us, we had the glorious sun to stand and wait in. I had to take all my winter prep layers off it was that hot and I am not a girl that likes to be without a jumper, #unessicarysweatpatches anyone? As we got closer to the kiosk, we realised this wasn’t your normal queue and it wasn’t your normal kiosk. “LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, I KNOW YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING 4 TO 6 HOURS, BUT IF YOU COULD JUST PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CAN HAVE THE CORRECT CHANGE IT WOULD SAVE A LOT MORE TIME” bellowed a man with a megaphone. Wigmore castle

So today was the celebratory day of our one year anniversary, so we decided not to break tradition and go on a castle date. Classic. When we got there we found out where to park which was so, so close to the castle. Not. James spoke to a medium scary looking man at a village hall that looked like he was holding something heavy and bat like but he was happy to learn we were going to the castle before giving us a general direction. It was a little mission to get there but the weather was on our side. We walked down, then up, then through a graveyard, down a windy path, by some posh houses that I pretended could be mine one day for 5 pounds and then up a giant hill until we got to the front of the castle. We had a nice chat with an elderly man on the way who spoke about the castle like it was the greatest thing to exist. He was cute and reminded me of my grandad. We got there and had a look around, it was pretty big concidering it doesn't look like much from far away....
