Dismaland

Outside. I’m drinking wine as we speak. Whether it is the stress that uni is upon me, or the fact I now need glasses for activities such as the cinema, I can’t help but feel like this wonderful trip out contributed to how miserable I feel. Dismaland was everything I wanted to be and more. We arrived to Weston super- mare around 3.30 pm and had a nice walk along the beach with a drink before arriving at the queue. It didn’t look bad and luckily for us, we had the glorious sun to stand and wait in. I had to take all my winter prep layers off it was that hot and I am not a girl that likes to be without a jumper, #unessicarysweatpatches anyone? As we got closer to the kiosk, we realised this wasn’t your normal queue and it wasn’t your normal kiosk. “LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, I KNOW YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING 4 TO 6 HOURS, BUT IF YOU COULD JUST PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CAN HAVE THE CORRECT CHANGE IT WOULD SAVE A LOT MORE TIME” bellowed a man with a megaphone. Shit. They are pissed off. I look...

The 3 Cornish Gems

Image
After my laptop breaking and dropping my phone down the toilet and losing a lot of my latest posts, including this one, i'm feeling a little under the emotional weather. None the less! I still remember my wonderful time in Cornwall with 2 of my greatest friends and here are the 2 best hidden and one not so hidden) / places I picked. Gunwalloe In the middle of no where was this super secluded beach, with an added wedding. It's a pretty ace place to get married. We didn't bathe on the pebble one but located next to it was an equally lovely sandy one with hills stretched for miles behind it, perfect for a small "hike". Something for everyone's needs. Porthleven harbour I flipping loved this harbour, even more than i loved the rose wine and that is saying something. This simple, cute harbour makes you feel like you are in France. Its swim friendly, which is awesome and made me promptly sad i didn't have my swimming costume. It has a variety of re...

Rosie and Harry's Wedding in Cornwall.

I am writing this listening to "May you never" as i think it will set the tone for this piece. I was lucky enough to be invited to 2 of my good friends wedding in my favourite place, Cornwall! Not only did i get to see my friends from Truro but i also got to see 2 of them get married to each other, which doesn't happen every day! Rosie picked me up from the train station, along with Phil who was on the same train as me, but we didn't know each other. I met Rosie's sister who's from Ireland, and we all went on a Sainsbury's trip which was a hilarious start to the weekend. Why hilarious? One word, Phil. Rosie had somehow given him the impression that we will be without nothing to eat for a long period of time and so his "go-to" was a fruit bowl. His fight or flight response was bananas, orange and apples. I asked him why he thought that was going to keep him going, and his response was that "He doesn't really eat enough fruit". W...
