My first London house party.

I hastily dashed to Tesco to grab a bottle of wine up to 5 pounds, needed to do something nice. Up to 5 pounds is like my posh London limit. For myself i got 1.49 Tesco value Spanish red wine. Its still sitting in my pocket, ill be sure to make a review.

I was literally FALLING asleep on the tube after being up since 7.45 - it may sound like nothing if you don't know me, but if you do, that's like me pretty much being up since 3am.
Id also been cooked a banging lunch by the male and wed gone for a hot chocolate at "EAT." (Never been there before) after i moved in - busy flipping day.

So i rocked up, bottle in hand, Lauren was waving franticly from her door and i was welcomed into the house as the 3rd guest. No one EVER comes to a house party dead on the time, its funny because i think everyone thinks that, so people just don't turn up until like 11pm. Well, because of that, we had more pizza and wine than ANYONE!

After getting told off for saying yolo and hashtag too much (and rightly so), I was introduced to everyone there, and thrown a number of names at me which i inevitably forgot almost immediately, but none the less it was lovely. I made friends with a lady called Ieva who was talking to me about her raw food diet - so brave. I listened whilst scoffing pepperoni pizza obviously but it was cool none the less. We all had a chat about a couple of different things and then Ieva dissapeared. When she came back, she came back with a "nakd" bar in hand for me and Lauren, which was so lovely. Nakd bars are great, and this one was "Christmas Pud" which id never tried before, apparently it tasted like mince pies, and how could you not like that. Unless you dont like mince pies. We then had some "selfies", natural progression of the evening.

Slowly people started dribbling in, i made friends with a girl called Gina because i literally kept getting in her way, we bonded over it. She also had docs on. There was also a girl called Steph who i eyed up taking paracetamol with her vodka, i knew she was someone that could be in my life. The sangria came out and a lot more people started filtering in. There was some weird alcohol shit that turned water cloudy, spliffs everywhere, and someone brought out poppers. POPPERS. So old school. As for me, i just stuck to the sangria, alcohol is the one for me, i could never cheat.

I had a chat with a lad called Pete and found out there was a bunch of musicians in our midst and now a jam is on the cards which is great. I also forgot Lauren can sing and she said the word "harmony" so now obviously that has to happen at least once.
Its my 3rd glass of sangria by now and im not entirely sure what else ive been putting in it, red wine, a bit of white wine, im sure there were some spirits kicking about too. And hold on to your hats guys....i was ELECTED FUCKING DJ.

I was very concerned at first, i warned everyone about my eclectic mix from Britney to Duran Duran. Someone piped up and asked me if i had Rio. I looked at them like they were mad. OFCOURSE i have Rio. Come on guys. So i sat myself down on my DJ chair, sangria in hand-  which is pretty much a cup of fruit by this point. My mums tried calling me at this point so i texted hastly to explain that i had been elected dj and that she has to tell my dad RIGHT away. He gave me the advice of "make sure you play good music". Well father, I learnt from the best. We had Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Rockafella Skank, American Pie, Spin me right round, 9- 5 by Dolly P...(bit of a mix between artist and track here) you get the idea! It was steaming.
Gina at this point has become my music buddy and is sat on the corner of the chair, whispering to me every so often that im "on point" or that "i was a bit niche but on point" Something a dj had said to her mate one time she Djed. It was pretty good. Everyone started dancing to themselves or singing in the kitchen and i felt like i was doing an alright job. Dad, i hope youre proud. I was pretty battered too so overall, it could of gone way worse. At this point im almost certain its destined to be my new career path. Only down side was that i couldnt urinate unless it was a designated time.

Socialising was great fun too, got to talk to quite a few people and i also got my feet wet and made little foot prints arount the house, soz guys.
Lauren came and sat by me and fed me fruit - Lauren, thats pretty romantic actually mate? Even if it was because i like orange peel. I also remember asking for an undercut and tried to find out if anyone had an electronic clipper. Good job it was time for me to leave.

It was 11.50pm and the time had FLOWN by, i loved every second but my last tube was in 10 minutes. I couldnt find Lauren so i literally had to make a break for it and frantically whatsapp her.We had a quick and mushy conversation and now were on "love you" friend territory. Aw. I remember telling James about it when i got back. Thankyou for inviting me and for a lovely night.

Thankyou Ieva for this. I chowed down on it whilst writing this post. ♥
